FAITH, UNITY, AND PRAISE: NAAYALA SECONDARY SCHOOL COMMUNITY GATHERS FOR A BLESSED MASS AT ST. GONZAGA CHURCH
The Naalya Secondary School community came together in a profound display of faith and unity on, as students and staff from our Namugongo campus participated in a blessed Holy Mass at St. Gonzaga Catholic Church. The atmosphere was one of reverence and joy as we joined the wider Naalya community for this special celebration.
In a remarkable demonstration of the talent and dedication nurtured within our school, our students were given the honor of leading the congregation in song. The school choir, comprised of students from various classes, delivered a moving and melodious performance that elevated the liturgical celebration and filled the church with a spirit of devotion.
The Mass was presided over by the esteemed Father Timothy, a visiting priest from the Mityana Kiyinda Diocese. Father Timothy delivered an inspiring homily that resonated with the young faithful, encouraging them to embrace their faith with courage and to be beacons of hope within their communities. His guidance provided a spiritual anchor for our students, reminding them of the values that shape our school’s holistic approach to education.
Following the solemn ceremony, the atmosphere shifted to one of community fellowship. The Headteacher of Naalya Secondary School, Mrs. Angella Kasobya Balikudembe, addressed the congregation and staff. In her speech, Mrs. Balikudembe extended gratitude to Father Timothy and the St. Gonzaga community for their hospitality and the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful service.
Crucially, the Headteacher spoke on behalf of the entire Naalya Secondary School family, representing the unity that binds our three campuses Bweyogerere, Namugongo, and Lugazi. Her words highlighted the shared vision of academic excellence and moral development that connects all Naalya students and staff, reinforcing the concept that we are stronger together, regardless of our geographical location. She commended the students for their exemplary behavior and for representing the school with such grace and dignity.
The event was a beautiful testament to the spiritual life at Naalya Secondary School Namugongo. It provided an opportunity for our students to not only grow in their faith but also to develop a sense of leadership and community service by actively participating in the liturgy.
