Celebrating 33 Years of a Peaceful Reign: Naalya Secondary Schools Join Buganda Kingdom in Honouring Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II
Naalya Secondary Schools proudly join the entire Buganda Kingdom in celebrating the 33rd Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, the 36th King of Buganda. Crowned on July 31, 1993, at Naggalabi, Buddo the traditional site where Buganda kings have been enthroned for centuries the Kabaka has now reigned for 33 remarkable years, a milestone that fills us with profound gratitude and pride.
This year’s anniversary is commemorated under the theme, “Fortitude as We Preserve Our Heritage,” a powerful call to all Baganda and well-wishers to remain steadfast in safeguarding our cultural identity, values, and traditions for generations to come. In the words of the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga: “We need courage in everything we do. To be a good leader, you must have courage. When we have fortitude as we preserve our heritage, we protect it today and ensure future generations find it intact and relevant to their lives.”
Our Commitment as Naalya Secondary Schools
As an institution with campuses in Namugongo, Bweyogerere, and Lugazi, Naalya Secondary Schools have long been part of the fabric of Buganda. We remain dedicated to nurturing young minds who value their heritage, embrace fortitude, and contribute meaningfully to the development of our communities.
